An impact-focused interim use specialist led by arts professionals, our work unlocks significant social and economic capital by repurposing empty buildings. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality studios and workspace that is truly affordable to our end users: freelancers, micro-businesses, bootstrap startups and entrepreneurs, artists, creatives and non-profit organisations.
- Our workspaces are truly affordable, significantly under market rents, with meeting spaces granted for free to local community groups.
- We provide ancillary services to the arts and cultural sector via low-cost rehearsal and development studios.
- We help ameliorate the effects of social isolation, a growing mental health concern in the UK, from working alone in flats, houseshares, cafés, the library and other public spaces.
- Subsidy is built into the scheme: coworking membership prices and per-square-foot studio rates are subsidised for eligible beneficiaries. A higher-tier commercial rate is available for non-beneficiaries, and a sponsorship programme goes further for those in particular need.

Recognition
PopHub Leicester Square was recognised by the Mayor’s office for its ethics and affordability, becoming one of nine London workspaces to be awarded the Mayor’s Workspace Accreditation. Interim Spaces won at the Somerset Business Awards in 2025 and the Property Awards in 2021, and is a Living Wage employer.
The charity
Interim Spaces is a charity registered in England & Wales, number 1165694. PopHub, 10 Market Place and The Artistry are projects of the charity. Our registered purposes and accounts are on the Charity Commission register.
Founded in 2016 with George Street Studios in Marylebone; now in London and Somerset. Every project since
