Anonymous statistics

Unless you turn analytics off, we count page views, categories of links clicked, broad device types and traffic sources, and approximate active time and scroll depth. Measurements are immediately combined into daily totals. We do not retain an IP address, identifier, individual event timestamp or browsing history in these statistics, and do not count unique visitors. We use these totals solely to improve this website, its content and navigation.

These statistics rely on the statistical purposes exception to the rules on storage and access technologies. Our purpose and legitimate interest is improving the service. The collection service necessarily receives a network address to handle each request; it does not retain that address in the anonymous statistics. Short-lived, keyed rate-limit codes are used separately for security, expire after a minute, and contain no page history.

Optional detailed analytics

Detailed analytics is off unless you explicitly select Allow detailed analytics in Privacy choices. With your consent, we record page visits, link categories, scroll depth, estimated active time, referring website domain, broad device and browser type, and the IP address made available by our hosting service. A random identifier groups activity into a browser-tab session. Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity or 24 hours.

We use this information to understand interest in our spaces and improve navigation. We do not use either form of analytics for advertising, identify you by name, record your screen or keystrokes, collect form entries, or track you across other websites. Page query strings and referrer paths are excluded.

Your choice

Turn off analytics stops both forms of analytics without affecting access to the site. Privacy choices also lets you enable anonymous statistics alone or separately consent to detailed analytics. Withdrawing detailed consent deletes the current session while its identifier is available in your browser. Previously combined anonymous totals cannot be traced back to you or individually removed.

Your preference is stored on your device for 90 days, solely to remember your choice. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track turn analytics off by default. You can change your choice at any time using these controls or the footer.

Retention and access

Daily totals are kept for 90 days. For optional detailed analytics, IP addresses are available for seven days from the start of a session. Individual visit records and the log of administrator IP reveals are available for 30 days. Expired information is excluded from dashboard responses and removed from storage when the analytics service next handles a request. If the site has no traffic, physical removal may therefore happen later.

The private dashboard is restricted to authorised administrators. IP addresses are masked initially, and revealing an address is logged. An IP address can represent a shared network or VPN and does not establish a visitor’s identity.

Hosting

This website and its analytics use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Analytics requests go to our collection service at interim-spaces.interimdan.chatgpt.site. Service providers process data to deliver and secure the website. Their operational hosting and security logs are separate from these analytics and are not switched off by the analytics control. Processing locations and any international transfer safeguards depend on the providers’ applicable service arrangements.

Your rights

You may ask us about access, correction, deletion or restrictions on your personal data, or withdraw consent. We may need information that helps locate the record because we do not collect your name. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
